There’s visual appeal in this sticky staple: Adhesive tape can make for a surprisingly chic decorative tool. Even better? It’s easy and accessible. Here are some great ideas that have recently stuck with us at Remodelista.
Above: Instead of an actual carpet, mimic an area rug by outlining a space with tape. To recreate a similar look to this bedroom corner seen in Elle Interior Sweden, opt for a roll of Scotch Electrical Tape in white. (Note the DIY fringing!)
Above: Since Washi tape—a multipurpose decorative tape from Japan—has gained popularity this year, we’re following suit. This pink roll from Cute Tape is available in several other colors.
Above: As seen on the blog Hanna’s Room, a bit of colored tape and some paint can transform a room.

Cute on a certain level, but personally think it borders on tacky.
thanks!
neat!
Looks too much like a painting project, and I would twitch to pull the tape off. Hand made paper looks nice as a window covering though, specially if it has patterns, or as huge paper snowflakes/geometric designs.
