This beautiful mountain laurel chandelier at Rustic Designs caught our eye, but it is a rather steep $2,800. Why not gather a bundle of manzanita branches, lash them together with twine, and thread a strand of white lights through the whole thing?
Either gather your own bundle of branches or go to Manzanita Burlworks for sandblasted manzanita branches sold by the foot, or get a three-branch bundle of manzanita branches from Nettleton Hollow for $60.
Above: Weave white string lights through the branches; $4 for a 8-foot string from Amazon.

I love the idea of having a big branch like this inside
Love the idea, very simple, cheap and anything that comes from mother earth just so worth it. Thanks.
iTS NOT MORE A FIRE HASARD THAN A CHRISTMAS TREE, WHEN YOU LIGHT IT YOUR IN THE ROOM AND ITS EASY TO MAKE AND LOOK NICE.
Very creative, thanks!

I made a balcony railing from Sassafras trees that had been felled on our property during a wind storm a couple years back. It's fun and interesting to add something decorative that's been salvaged or otherwise kept out of the trash.
I just decorated our ficus benjamina with tiny white lights and it is set on a timer on our patio. It makes a great night light and is festive all year round.
What a stupid idea. Not only does this look ridiculous, it's a fire hazard.
Gorgeous!
