A few weeks ago we wrote about using an old shipping pallet to craft new shelves for your home. Here’s another great use for an otherwise unwanted object. London-based, Danish-born Nina Tolstrup of design group Studiomama crafted chairs from two standard wood pallets and 50 screws. Plans are available online for £10 at Studiomama.
Above: Tolstrup designed the chairs for her beach home near Kent, England.
Above: Wood from reclaimed pallets lends character to the chairs.

Interesting.
Love it!
This is a cute idea. I have seen ads in my local paper for free pallets. The chair looks nice but seems like a lot of work involved. I'd rather buy one.
These look really uncomfortable but could work if not used regularly.
I agree with the serious sanding required too.
All those sharp right angles, especially behind the knees, look mighty uncomfortable. Plus, any DIY builder should be more than accomplished enough to make a simple chair like this just by looking at the example rather than buying the expensive plans Remodelista is pushing.

Very cool. Cushions are a must, I would say, or some serious sanding. I've had an oak table made from pallets for years.
Although I thought the 'pallet to a shelf' idea was horrid, I am of the opposite opinion about the pallet becoming a chair. I need to rescue a few pallets to see if I can make the furniture.
Not too keen on it.
Thanks!
