At Remodelista, we’re admirers of a natural (and often do-it-yourself) table setting, which is why we’re keen on this idea of using an unhemmed piece of fabric as a covering (above). Evidenced in this Ikea kitchen, the look is simple and eclectic.

Thanks for the article.
Hmm, gave me an idea. How about canvas fabric from my fabric store that I paint with acrylic paints in pretty colors either abstract, stripes, or flowers or any free form design to use on my tables on the deck in the summer. Water proof, easy to wipe clean and sturdy fabric compared to the plastic or flannel back plastic ones. yes, that is a great idea!
I do like the idea of a paper runner for some table settings with markers. Would suggest to guest to write what they are most thankful for, their favorite flower, favorite book title, the good qualities about the person sitting next to you, charactures of self or each other, etc. what ever your party theme. KInd of like an expression wall which can also be a lot of fun. Newspapers will sell rolls of left over print paper for a few dollars.Great for a kid's party too!
What's wrong with the good old fashion lace tablecloth. That's what I got!
not a good idea, what happens when you wash it? or is that not what was planned? Maybe they were just going to throw it away afterwards?? Not very green to me.
not sure...
Looks pretty tacky, but probably makes a great rag.
What?????
Thanks.
Great! Useful. I will pass along this idea! Thanks for sharing.
