Doggie Hotel With Café, Spa and Happy Hour!

Doggie Hotel With Café, Spa and Happy Hour!

“Every dog must have his day.”
 ~ Jonathan Swift

What a day it will be if you indulged your pampered pet in luxury accommodations. The Sniff Dog Hotel is a popular Portland, Oregon (pet-friendly city) pet hotel spotted on the Springwise site, that offers high-end pet accommodations, grooming, training and daycare. On the Sniff Dog property there is a café where dog-loving humans can hang out and watch their canine companions romp around while they enjoy some local beer, wine, and food. The dogs enjoy the indoor park while their owners enjoy happy hour.

With daily rates at $37.00 and up for a comfy room, the Sniff Dog Hotel’s accommodations feature elevated beds with fleece bedding, multi-hour play sessions, and complimentary baths. Climate-controlled suites of larger sizes are also available, and some offer natural lighting and views of the city. All hotel guests are monitored 24/7 and can enjoy an indoor play park that is a dirt-free, K9 grass-covered play space. They’ll even find the pooch a custom playmate based on temperament. Grooming, spa services and massage therapy are also available.

From an eco-standpoint, the air quality of the The Sniff Dog Hotel may be cleaner than a human hotel, as it is equipped with an industry-leading HVAC (heating and ventilation) system that filters the air several times per hour.

Sound extravagant? Well, it may not be as off base as it seems, as US consumers are expected to spend 47.7 billion dollars this year on their pets. I recently wrote a post about how to offset some of the costs of owning a pet, but if you’re feeling indulgent, The Sniff Dog Hotel may make your dog howl for joy.

What do you think about this? Are you booking reservations for your pets?

Well if I ever go to Oregon to visit my friends I would think about this arrangement, but not for all of my pooches as it would put me in the poor house, never mind a hotel. Most of my dogs were rescued from the roads where they were dumped, but they never lack for love or anything they need even if I cannot afford luxury accommodations. In reality, dogs so need large romping room & my kids have that daily in my rural property

SOUNDS GOOD TO ME!

The cafe seems like fun... the humans can hang out and chat about dogs while their dogs hang out and play together. The hotel part for just the dogs seems good, too, I suppose, and the dogs' humans don't have to feel too guilty about being away on vacation. But I don't have dogs (I have cats), so I can't be sure how dogs' humans would feel.

We took our dog Oreo to Yosemite Park this summer and he stayed at the motel with us, No grooming or fancing stuff, what for? not my dog, he is very happy with long hikes and swimming in the lake. I like the idea that some places are pet friendly, thanks but, no crossing the lane beetween non-sense and reality.

A far cry from dogs living all their lives in cages.

Wow. I am glad there are people who love pets but that money could go so far in saving pets.
