These three videos show three different ways dolphins are having fun.
On page 1 we see a group of dolphins in the open water, frolicking and jumping. On page 2 they are surfing alongside human surfers. And on page 3 we go underwater where a scuba diver is caressing a dolphin, and gets kissed for his kindness.
Dolphins Having Fun
Watch a really big school of about 150 dolphins in Howe Sound, British Columbia. They are probably heading to where they expect to find dinner, but meanwhile they are all fun, jumping and playing.
My favorite of the three videos is the one on page 2, where the dolphins are playing and surfing alongside humans.

Dolphins and Humans Surf Together
In this BBC video, Richard Attenborough tells us that dolphins, like humans, enjoy playing even as adults. It seems to help bond the group.
He takes us to Jeffreys Bay, South Africa where we see surfers who have trained for years to achieve perfection in the water surfing next to dolphins who do it naturally and effortlessly. It’s quite a sight.
On page 3 watch as a single dolphin and scuba diver play and interact in the deep sea, with the dolphin giving him a friendly kiss. So sweet.

Dolphin Plays with a Scuba Diver
We’re used to seeing people playing with captive dolphins and wish we this “sport” didn’t exist.
This is much better. In this video you’ll see a scuba diver in the water at Grand Bahama Island, and a dolphin who comes up to play with him. First the diver rubs the dolphin on his back, the dolphin swims away and returns to kiss the diver lips to lips. Then they continue to interact in the sweetest way.
