A moose under the influence of fermented apples lost all restraint and wound up stuck in an apple tree. It had climbed into the tree in an attempt to reach even more of the alcohol-laden fruit, but its long legs became entangled in the tree’s limbs. At that point it got stuck and couldn’t move until rescuers cut some branches to allow the huge animal to move again. The moose was unharmed and eventually sobered up enough to run away, as you can see in the video. It was in a tree owned by a man who came home from work to discover the whacky scene.
“I thought at first that someone was having a laugh. Then, I went over to take a look and spotted an elk stuck in an apple tree with only one leg left on the ground,” he said. (Source: IBTimes.com)
Moose becoming intoxicated from eating fermented apples is not that uncommon during autumn in Sweden, where there is a large population of the animals – an estimated 300,000-400,000. About 100,000 are shot in an annual hunt. Women also take part in the annual event. Sweden is one of the few European countries with a large, population of moose. Their habitat was altered so much in other nearby nations, they died out.
Apples contain enough sugar they can produce some alcohol through fermentation when they become overly ripe. You can’t blame the moose for enjoying Nature’s cider.

+ add your ownPoor inebriated moose - in Australia we have parrots who get in the same condition after gorging themselves on mangos.
Poor moose. Animals are not meant to be drunk.

Thanks for posting!
It's the responsibility of the drinking establishment and the bartender to quit serving when a customer gets too much to drink. At least in this establishment, they allowed him to stay so he could sober up and not get into any accidents going home.
way to go moose..
