Before you get even one more split end, try this formula for a luxurious conditioner that will restore luster and health to your dry or damaged hair. It uses three kitchen cupboard ingredients plus aloe vera gel to help repair and nourish your tresses.

Here is the simple formula:

INGREDIENTS

2 ounces aloe vera gel
1/2 teaspoon olive, avocado, or jojoba oil
2 ounces organic apple cider vinegar
1 ounce powdered milk

1. Combine ingredients in a bowl, stirring to blend.

2. Apply to freshly-washed damp hair.

3. Rinse with warm water.

Will this work on natural afro hair? Signs of the Menopause are drying my hair badly, split ends and breakage. Please help.

does anyone know if you can store this conditioner? I don't know if the powdered milk would keep, but maybe without it? I've been using straight aloe as conditioner, but i have curly hair and and was drying after a while, so this recipe seemed like a good alternative.

No, vegans do not use honey. They can replace honey in their diet with agave syrup/nectar, which comes from a plant and has similar consistency and sweetness.
In this case, they would both work - honey is being used as a humectant here, and agave would do the same.

Kari Blackmore

do vegans use honey?

can i find all these products in my local supermarket? Bc i've never seen avocado oil

Kari Blackmore, even though powdered milk is in a powder form, it's still "milk" and Vegans don't use nor wear or apply anything that contains animal ingredients. So, while theres' nothing wrong with the ingredient itself, it's just not for Vegans. I know not everyone is a vegan but I was hoping to get a vegan response.

Maybe Laura C. don't know what being "Vegan" means. Even though I'm not "eating" it, it still contains animal ingredients which in this case is the 1 ounce of powdered milk. Vegans don't eat nor use, wear or put on ANYTHING that contains or have animal ingredients or is made from an animal but thanks for the soy option.

not every one is a vegan and you are not eating it..lol maybe soy would work

That is a great recipe! I plan to try it-my hair is coarse, curly, dry and colored/foiled.
I always need moisture help-along with a reparative shampoo. Your hair/mine too-will not take in as much moisture unless it is being repaired via shampoo and conditioner for repair first.

But Redken test on animals -_-
