Personally, I like my cats with a full coat of sumptuous fur, but then again, I do not have allergies. If a hairless cat was my only sneeze-free option to have a cat as a companion animal, then an Elf cat would be an attractive option, as a cat is a cat, even sans fur! My husband, however, said, he thinks he may be allergic to any cat that looks like Yoda.

There are already so many animals needing a loving home in this world; there is no need to be developing designer breeds for profit.
How disappointing. Shelters will be full of these poor creatures once people find out that hairless animals are more difficult to care for than natural ones. Also, designer animals invariably have more health problems. Animals are not fashion accessories. It does not bode well that Hollywood is interested; look what Paris Hilton did for small dogs; nothing good. It is dreadful that while perfectly good cats are being killed by the thousands every day in overcrowded refuges, these people breed more. I don't buy the allergy theory for one minute. I had a severe cat allergy and cured myself; anyone can do it; just do a Google search. These people are in it for the money, simple as that.

I prefer my exotic shorthair.
Look out the bloody kitten farm will get hold of these unsuspecting animals to start breeding them. I cringe at the thought. Evil money driven people.

I find it very odd that people feel the need to CREATE new breeds of anything.....designer cats and dogs are usually riddled with health problems and the poor animals invariably end up suffering from some horrible affliction, it's just cruel....leave nature alone!!!
