Enzyme Improves Asthma, Allergies, Arthritis, and More

Another study by Drs. Kee, Tan, Lee, and Salmon published in the Singapore Medicine Journal found that serrapeptase has also been proven effective in the treatment of breast pain and inflammation.  They found that 85.7% of patients taking serrapeptase had a moderate to marked improvement in breast pain and swelling, while only 60% of those taking the placebo had a similar amount of improvement.

Serrapeptase may also be beneficial to treat other conditions involving inflammation, such as arthritis, injuries, multiple sclerosis (MS), colitis, and others.  In a 2008 study published in the Indian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Drs. Viswanatha and Patil found that serrapeptase was more effective than aspirin at reducing inflammation in animals.  Additional research will indicate whether serrapeptase has the same beneficial effects in humans.

Serrapeptase is also known as serratiopeptidase, serratia protease, or serrapeptidase.  It is available in most health food stores.  It is best taken on an empty stomach.  Always consult a medical doctor for any health condition and before taking supplements.
