Finding Your Pure Potential
Adapted from The Book of Secrets by Deepak Chopra (Three Rivers Press, 2004).
The universe runs on a switch with only two positions, on and off. “On” is the material world. “Off” is pure possibility, your source.
Exploring the following 10 conditions is the way you create the meaning of your own life.
1. The deeper you go, the more power is available to change things.
2. Reality flows from more subtle regions to more gross ones.
3. The easiest way to change anything is to first go to the subtlest level of it, which is awareness.
4. Still silence is the beginning of creativity. Once an event starts to vibrate, it has already begun to enter the visible world.
5. Creation proceeds by quantum leaps.
6. The beginning of an event is simultaneously its ending. The two co-arise in the domain of silent awareness.
7. Events unfold in time but are born outside of time.
8. The easiest way to create is in the evolutionary direction.
9. Since possibilities are infinite, evolution never ends.
10. The universe corresponds to the nervous system that is looking at it.

Hi Martha,
In response to number 10 I would say that because EVERYTHING in the universe, as well as the universe itself, is made up of ENERGY, gases, and chemicals, there is a consent interaction between the energy vibrations and fluctuations which vary in intensity and frequency according to their SOURCE. These processes take place within a “feedback loop” that forms a continual circle thus forging the corresponding affect. I believe these vibrations and fluxuations are part of the higher intelligence that IS the universe and EVERYTHING in it.

Perhaps I am being simplistic, Martha, but I think that it means that each one of us creates our own reality. What is reality for one being is not necessarily the same as for the next.
Number 6: As we are born, we begin to die.
Perhaps Deepak Chopra elaborates on each of these in his book from which this is taken.

To understand item 6 we need to take our mind off the concept of time that civilization conveniently adopted. As time moves on the question whether it is linear or cyclic depends on the span you are looking at.When in this vast and unexplored universe sitting in a corner comforted by the grace of sun we talk about time and such concepts always limited by our factual and recorded perceptions. Our conditioning of thinking and imposed ideas have limited the dimensional approach to time.In fact time and timeless are the same as the root is a bias in favor of measurable time. The end and the beginning are no different if you look at what transpired in between. If it is pleasurable you want it to be timeless, and if painful, you say forget it,that never happened and so on.

Item six, speaks to the inevitability of the law. Even not accepting the law works within the law. We live in a perfect world.

I guess you have to read the whole book. I do recall that in one of his books, Dr. Chopra mentions that "time" is a human invention, created to avoid confusion.

My interpretation is that philosophers and ancient teachings hold that time is non-linear and everything occurs simultaneously. So, for an event to exist at all the start and end of it must come into existence together. I still believe we have personal choice in between those two points on the grid.
I wish Deepak would elaborate on the whole thing. It's kind of mysteriously obscure. Although number 5 is inspiring!
