Horrible!

I think the government knows exactly how bad things are in the Gulf. They just do not want to admit to the people because they want BP to continue to drill for oil to be able to run the country.

Greed and excessive profits go hand in hand. Certainly little care for the environment shown as the CEO's can jet set to paradise areas and escape the pollution.
True, the conservatives certainly have set up shop in Canada and are changing the laws on the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act where less time will be allotted to studying adverse changes to the environment. Only profit and greed in the conservative agenda.
Future generations pay heed as only the now is important and the effects of damaging processes are left to you after we are long gone.

Not necessarily due to the BP oil spill?

So how much more pollution are we as people putting there?

I say it's high time to ensure that the pricks who mess up our natural resources get find a hefty one. If anything, it will kill two birds with one stone. More money comes in to help clean everything up, and then in the mean time, create more jobs for even MORE money and a broader tax base to further help pay for clean up.

I guess the government and BP thinks that everything is OK in the gulf, here is my question how many fish, shrimp, and crabs were found with out eyes, and claws before the spill? None? If they think it is safe my question is how much fish have they eaten? I will not swim or eat anything out of the gulf since the spill, I live in GA and will not even go into the water at Tybee Island....it will take years to really know the extent to which BP has ruined our gulf...
