Recently the White House Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships held an invitation-only call. The call was co-sponsored by the U.S. Health and Human Services, the Office of Minority Health, and CDC.

Conspicuously, the end of the invitation read:

This call is off the record and is not for press purposes” – but it became public when it showed up on the HHS website.

Fortunately one of our staff was able to get on the call.

The focus of the call was on getting faith-based organizations to sponsor flu clinics with Walgreens.

Basically, they want to move inside your church, mosque or synagogue, and set up shop, with your pastor, priest, imam and rabbi on hand to convince you to get a flu shot.

As an example, they cited a priest who stopped in the middle of mass to roll up his sleeve and get vaccinated, inspiring the rest of his parish to line up behind him.

Talk to God, Get a Shot

The idea of holding out your arm and getting a shot in the middle of a worship service, with your pastoral leader urging you on, really seems to be pushing it. The reason they’re doing this, health officials said on the phone, is that they’ve found that non-traditional settings such as worship services can be highly effective in influencing people’s decisions.

Speaking directly to church leaders, Joshua DuBois, executive director of the White House Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnership, said:

“As trusted messengers, you’re able to spread messages and help get people vaccinated.”

Churches have no place doing this.

I see nothing wrong with the Church encouraging people to get a flu shot. Many people do not eat properly, get enough sun or take supplements to help their immune system. This is especially true of the elderly and those who cannot afford suppliments. The shots may not help everyone but it will help some. You can still get the flu after having a shot but it will be a milder form. I think that is reason enough to get the shot.
I also would encourage everyone NOT to shake hands with anyone! This is how germs are spread. Churches should do away with the "peace be with you", handshakes. You could just turn and say the words to those near you.
And to all ladies, PLEASE do not set your purse in the childs seat of a shopping cart, then go home and set your purse on the kitchen counter! You've just put a ton of germs on the counter.

.I won't go as far as saying that vaccines are evil or works of the devil or witchcraft

Saying witchcraft has to do with vaccine is untrue and insulting to large community of people...First of all that is defamation of character and slander since its not true. You are offending thousands of witches and pagans who are earth friendly individuals.

Just because we have the right to express ourselves in this country does not give us the right to slander other people. Reread you first amendment before someone uses it to sue you. Hopefully someone doesn't turn around and sue your for slander..or hopefully they do.

It is not very christian being so hostile.

As far as the vaccine goes...its should be something handled by doctors and it should be people's choice. Forcing religion to brain wash people with guilt is just plain wrong. I would stay clear of any church that allows itself to be used for propaganda.

Learn your bible Allie...you are sounding very hateful. Though I agree we shouldn't allow vaccines to be pushed by the church..there are other ways to convey your message.

Using religion to convey a message in any direction is poor use of religion and just down right manipulation

The manufacturing of vaccines is parallel to the work of witchcraft:
Raising animals to later kill for the use of their blood and or tissue
Growing dangerous foreign bacteria and viruses on animal blood/tissue
Using cells from aborted tissue of human and animal babies
combining the above with the most toxic substances of the earth (i.e. mercury-2nd to plutonium, formaldehyde, aluminum hydroxide, anti-freeze...etc)
And then inoculating it all into the blood stream of children and adults

Even the history of pharmacy was accompanied by incantations and spells when the "doctor" visited the sick. Sounds over the edge, but a sure fact. Read for yourself.

There are several Hebrew and Greek words which condemn the practice of witchcraft. In the Bible we find the words “witchcraft, divination, enchantments, mediums, spiritists, sorcery.” All of these practices are condemned in the strongest terms.

Deuteronomy 18:10-13 "Let none be found among you that maketh his son or his daughter to go through the fire, or that useth witchcraft, or a regarder of times, or a marker of the flying of fowls, or a sorcerer, Or a charmer, or that counseleth with spirits, or a soothsayer, or that asketh counsel at the dead. For all that do such things are abomination unto the Lord, and because of these these abominations the Lord thy God doth cast them out before thee. Thou shalt be upright therefore with the Lord thy God."
2 Kings 17:17 "And they made their sons and their da
