I have read more than once that it is supposed to be easier smiling than frowning because smiling only takes 4 muscles & frowning takes 50-some. I agree that the quality of my relationships with other people would be better if I could just go around smiling, but I do find frowning to be easier. It is very frustrating when I am actually feeling relatively good but then I catch my reflection in a store window or something & I look very nasty.
