Guide to Inner Healing

Adapted from The Deeper Wound, by Deepak Chopra (Harmony Books, 2001).

As you contact your true self, you will discover that the soul is not passive. Spirit knows more about us than we do ourselves, and it wants to support our every step toward wholeness. The soul journey has been called the pathless path because there is no map. Every person’s steps are different.

Light has the power to fill the void afflicted by darkness. Healing yourself comes in two stages—releasing the energy of suffering, then replacing it with the soul’s energy. It is a gentle process, very much like holding on to a thread as it leads you from step to step.

What begins as the merest hint of new strength will grow. Your true self is always available to meet any challenge, find any answer, and show you the way out of any dilemma.

What matters is your connection to your true self. In fear and isolation your soul seems aloof, with no power at all. But this is a perception born of following the ego, which all of us have done.

If you take the time to listen to the voice of the soul—where the ego is silent—you will be astonished at the power you have at your command, however long it has been overlooked. No other discovery in life is as joyful as regaining your true self.

I think this is a great way to put it... very empowering, as the onus lands with each individual its about trusting yourself to bre your best healer. I used to attend Sahaja Yoga pronoted by Sri Nirmala Sahaja Devi a female guru who taught us that even the newest apprentice can raise the energies of their own chakras and learn how to feel kundalini on the palms of your hand and clear others chakras. THIS REMINDS ME TO GET BACK INTO THIS DAILY PRACTICE. ThANKS DEEPAK

This is so true, as I experience making contact with my soul thru a soul meditation.
I'm working on listening to my heart, and letting it speak to my mind, to find my truest desires, and a vision that allows me to see love in everyone and everything. Funny how we get so caught up in the workings of our minds that we forget to stay in touch with our hearts sometimes. I so appreciate these gentle and helpful reminders. Many thanks. Many blessings be upon thee.
Peace,Love, & Music everyone!

What Deepak is talking about is eternal truth told to the mankind as vedic principles.
Asato Maa Sadgamaya
Tamaso Maa Jyotirgamaya
Mrityor Maa Amritamgamaya
Meaning thereby: Lord! lead me from untruth to truth, lead me from darkness to light, lead me from death to immortality.
Harmony with Sun, Moon, Earth and the Cosmic World in general energise each one of us. This is something to be personally experienced to believe. Sages and seers since time immemmoraial chant the above Mantras apart from remaining in harmony with the cosmic world. Unfortunately the modern man totally ignore what is 'harmony'. A couple sharing the same bed not in harmony, two people sharing the same room not in harmoney, people living in the same house under the same roof not in harmony. How can then such people get harmony with the whole Cosmic World? Modern educated people are prejudiced. Deepak talk such a language that can be easily understood by the modern educated. Keep up Deepak. You are doing a yeoman service to mankind in particular and the cosmic world in general. I am with you in spirit.

Thank you for all you do to enlighten the world and make it a better place. I have found your book A Deeper Wound an inspiration. I just lost a dear friend to Pancreatic Cancer and it is difficult some days to see the light and not give up hope but your book and quotes on Soular Energy have helped tremendously.

I have been given this book from my girl friend and some of the things are true. I do hear the voice and I always figured that it was the voice of God from heaven. Now that I know what it is I'm trying follow it and for me that is a good thing. Thank You Deepak

I have lived my life via my metaphysical studies and do listen daily to the voice of my soul...yes indeed, it has changed my life living in peace and contentment!

Your messages are always so near to my heart. I have found that by seeing my soul as a part of God, I am always near a super power. Sometimes we are so close we do not see. If we just stop for a few minutes, we can hear God speak to us. The power of prayer, meditation, whatever we call it, is within us. We were given these powers at the inception of our being. If we only stop to visit them.
I found great healing strength within myself. But in communing with others, I found even more. When we go inside ourselves with others and become as one in prayer, we can accomplish anything we set out to do.
Love to you, Deepak, and always peace.

Any voice you hear most likely is the voice of your SOUL; unless someone is invading your mind. Look into Kundilni yoga if you want to connect with your true self . . .PEACE
