been using Himalaya products, great!
My hair has never been healthier than when I stopped using commercial shampoos and went to shampoo bars. I wash every 2-3 days. I condition maybe once every couple weeks & I have colored hair. I started out w/ Lush products also tried an old time shampoo bar fr/ Whole Foods. I'm currently testing sample sized bars from Chagrin Valley. I'm also going to try coconut oil as a conditioner, I found that at my local international grocery. My hair is now so low maintenance and healthy there is no turning back. Good video on technique.
annoyingly, cannot view this one either..
I have the driest hair, color treated and only shampoo every 4 days. I always use a conditioner and leave it in for at least 10 min. When I rinse it out I don't do it till it's all gone, I leave a little in it, but my hair always looks dry, like strands of cotton. I've tried all kinds of shampoos and conditioners, nothing helps. After shampooing I use a leave in conditioner on the ends then apply silk oil. I still looks dry and flyaway.
nothing new actually. however, I have found one shop and they have shampoo without any preservatives, but price is a little higher than other shampoos. but it really works even if I'm showering everyday.
I remember in the days before blow dryers were the norm, we oldsters had the excuse of having to wash our hair to get out of a date. LOL We only washed our hair once a week, now people look at you funny if you say you don't wash your hair every day. If you have dirty job and your hair really gets dirty, that is really the only reason to wash every day. If you sweat a lot then you can just rinse with clear water.
