Two things I know for sure: I love fresh pasta and I love trying to make things from scratch. So, trying to make it myself was a no-brainer! Except for one thing — I had it in my head that you need a pasta maker and my tiny apartment has no room for one. You see, I fully forgot the fact that people have been making pasta without the benefits of modern technology for thousands of years.
After a friend told me about her adventurous time making homemade pasta, I knew I had to try. All you really have to do is roll out the dough, right? And after successfully making homemade tortillas, I figured I had to take a stab at it!
** Full Disclosure: it takes a lot of arm muscle to roll out the dough. Make this with a partner and take turns with the rolling pin!

What a really sweet idea. Now I think every state should do the same thing. Bravo for them.

Sounds intimidating to be honest- although it's just a little extra time. I won't promise I'll be attempting it anytime soon.
Tried this once. Came out a bit chewy. Maybe I didn't roll it enough
Thank you
Hmmm! I just love Pasta.
I'm going to to give this a try. But, I will admit I think I'll probably mess it up but it's worth a stab at it anyways. The cost of Pasta has gone through the roof.
Thanks for sharing.

Hannah, just make a dough of flour, water and salt.
Instructibles has a good how to. Search "vegan fresh pasta recipe."
I'll have to try this when I get home! Pasta is a staple for broke college students. Thank you for the recipe!
a broom handle, Gloria M-- COOL! This reminds me of Violet, a woman who showed me and my sister how to make apple strudel. She used to make her own filo dough by hand, stretching it out her dining room table. I tried to make rice noodles once by hand (the wide ones used in Thai drunken noodles) and they did not work out so well, though I did not use a recipe.
Thanks for the suggestion on how to make pasta.
I think I'll ask my son who cooks and bakes and is visiting- if he'd like to try this with me. I'm sure when fresh it's amazing.
