Honey Cornmeal Hand Softener

The skin on our hands is often overworked and overlooked, but with this simple formula soft and silky hands are only minutes away. Here, cornmeal works as a gentle exfoliant, milk plays the role of moisturizer and honey steps in as the emollient.

INGREDIENTS
1/4 cup cornmeal
3 tablespoons hemp milk (or milk of your choice)
1 tablespoon honey
1 drop vanilla extract or essential oil (optional)

1. In a small saucepan, stir in the milk and cornmeal and simmer over low heat until thickened into a loose paste. Remove from heat, allow to cool and stir in honey and extract or oil, if using.

2. Massage mixture into hands and allow to sit for 10 minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water.

I'm disappointed that the photo shown for a "healthy and green living" hand treatment features a woman with acrylic nails, the furthest thing from health and green living.
