Hospital Cat Earns Respect (Funny Photo)

A patient at Lewisham Hospital in London spied this sight in a waiting room: a kitty snoozing right underneath his very own sign!

The sign reads:

Notice Regarding the Cat

We are aware that the cat is frequently in the health centre and we do all we can to remove it but it comes back every time there is an opportunity to do so.

Please do not touch the cat and if you do then you will do so at your own risk.

Sounds like an ideal occupation for a cat: it gets its own row of chairs to nap on, while the nearby sign ensures that it will be both respected and revered!

i'm with quinton on this one. i get extremely anxious going to a dr.'s office or hospital. finding a cat sitting there would be a welcoming sight. and i would definitely re-write the sign. putting the cat in such a discouraging light makes having the cat around seem negative. animals are much more intuitive than people. this smart kittie probably KNOWS people are anxious and knows his presence is calming. score another one for the animals.

The hospital should take in the cat an make it the welcoming therapy kitty I am 54 years old an to this day I still hate going to the doctor or hospital the place just give me the cheeps every time I walk in the door of a doctors office or hospital my blood presser goo's up all I want to do is turn around an run I think this is called an anxiety attack if I came in a saw the cat I would pet it an put it in my lap it would put me at easy that what's animals do to humans it is therapy an it would be good for the kitty too all of the petting and love he/she would get a win win in my book

The sign SHOULD read: "Please pet this adorable therapy kitty he/she is here to help you relax" . =^..^=

Have you taken in a stray kitty today!

Touching the cat is healing in itself. He's a beauty.

You just know lots of petting goes on there. This is one smart cat who knows where to go for love. I bet a lot of people go home feeling much better and kids must behave better for loving the cat.

"Please do not touch the cat and if you do then you will do so at your own risk."

Why, what is the cat going to do? Eat them?

He seems to have found a favorite cozy napping place. I hope he has a home and if not that someone will give him one.
