Thanks, I never knew how it worked. I think it's a great way. Nobody should be forced to giving birth if they don't want to.
Thanks for the article!
noted and this med should be available Alex said it perfectly
Thanks!
Oh yes... Thank god for this magic little pill...
EC should be a standard part of a rape kit so it can be taken if the woman isn't already on some sort of birth control.
thanks for sharing
so many people think "contraception" means "abortive" - but it doesn't. "contra" means against, to stop or anti, while "ception" refers to the pregnancy. the name states what it is - it prevents pregnancy, it doesn't stop one. abortion stops a pregnancy that is already there. contraception prevents a pregnancy from ever happening.
to the person who scoffed at "emergency" - while using a condom can be very effective, condoms do break, and that is a nightmare. people can be very responsible, but still end up with bad results. that is life. "behaviour modification" does little for the poor husband and wife who used a condom that let them down. what do you suggest they do? should they not be allowed to have sex?
this is not abortion - it is contraception just like a condom, or birth control pill. it is intended only for emergencies, when the other methods have failed.
Who cares HOW it works... as long as it DOES work?!!! Not every woman who wants and needs it is a tramp. I think regular birth control, when it works, is best for anyone who is menstruating... If she gets date raped or drugged and attacked, or coerced by an older mentor, at least if she's on the pill she has a better chance of not being forced to carry a fetus to term by state laws which are currently on the rise. Remember that old saying: Better to be safe than sorry?" Well, it's entirely TRUE. And even if you're married, do not want children, and your other means of birth control fails, at least there's Emergency Contraception for most of us.
If you don't approve of it, then just don't take it... and let the rest of us decide for ourselves.
