Chris Helzer is a grasslands ecologist working for The Nature Conservancy in Nebraska. He’s also an accomplished photographer (see a slideshow of some of his work).
He says: “As a scientist, my job is to really use photography to show off the personality of prairies, to introduce people to the prairies they didn’t know existed.”
