How Plastic Bags Are Killing Our Planet (Infographic)

Over 1 trillion plastic bags are produced every year—and every single one of those bags will take an estimated 1,000 years to degrade. At that cost, is the convenience of using plastic bags really worth it?

This infographic from Arte Ideas addresses the impact of plastic bags, while offering solutions and alternatives to constant plastic bag use. Check it out below, and decide for yourself!

We never needed them, back in the days of paper shopping bags - why is it so "impossible" to stop using and producing them now??

When adopting a new habit, I try to get in the "behave as if" mindset. In this case, I behave as if that thing doesn't exist anymore... behave as if it's 1965 and the thing hasn't been invented yet... behave as if stores don't offer any shopping bags at all, and you *must* bring your own. I guarantee, within 2 weeks, you'll have a new, earth-friendly habit. :)
