How to Calm Kapha Dosha

How to Calm Kapha Dosha

If you have been suffering from pimples, acne, blackheads, flatulence, bloating and lethargy, your ruling dosha or humor is most likely Kapha.

Kapha dosha is composed of the elements of earth and water. So, everything in your personality, right from your skin and hair type to your moods and actions, is ‘earthy’ in nature.

If you are a kapha type:

Your skin is soft and oily.
It looks younger and ages slower because of its natural moisture content.
You have thick, lush hair.
Your body is heavy set, and tends to gain weight.
You are an easygoing, gentle and graceful person.
You tend to be possessive and stubborn.

Kapha Skin’s Typical Problems:

Your skin tends to get clogged with all that oil, so you often suffer from acne, blackheads and pimples.
Water retention and weight gain can cause cellulite to form.
You cannot bear cold, damp weather.
Emotional stress causes your skin to look oilier and duller.
