As the newest pet blogger at Care2, I want to introduce you to Sanchez, the seven year old Yellow Labrador who lives in my home and heart. Sanchez came to live with me when he was four months old and I was a volunteer puppy raiser for Guide Dogs for the Blind.
Sanchez was “career changed” at 20 months of age. We took those words literally, as he since as had a multitude of careers. They include agility training with Sandy Rogers at ACE Dog Sports, Musical Canine Freestyle with Ruthanna Levy, greeting students at Lisa Spector’s Music School and acting in a play at Coastal Repertory Theater where he played Helen Keller‘s dog in The Miracle Worker. In his free time, he loves to run on the beach and hike the California coastal trails.

wonderful story:-)
GRACIAS POR COMPARTIRLO. QUE MARAVILLOSOS PERRO
Thanks for all the wonderful comments about my dog, Sanchez. I love the comment from Maryia S ~ "How can you not love him?" I agree, but I'm a little biased. One of the reasons I keep him so busy is that he was bred to be a working dog. In addition to lots of exercise, it's really crucial that I keep his mind stimulated. Even at age 7, he still very much has that working dog mentality. In general, dogs love mental and physical activity, same as humans really ;-) Stay tuned for more about Sanchez in coming blogs.
Labs are wonderful dogs. Great story - so touching.
Reading this and seeing the photos, i must admit -- i love him -- how can you not. He surely has a busy and hectic schedule -- i can just see him squeezing in as much nap time as possible -- after all, he has many responsibilities. Once again, i hug and adore him.
