Is Fresh Fruit Wilting Your Veggies? (video)

Donít put your veggies and your fruit together in the same drawer in your fridge. The taste of many vegetables can be degraded by the ethylene gas given off by many fruits and a few vegetables.

Itís best to store the vulnerable veggies in a paper bag in a separate drawer. This video from Prevention Magazine tells you which is which.

I've always kept them separate, as they tend to squabble amongst themselves. The carrots are usually quiet, but the apples sulk until they're brown, the broccoli likes to bully the others, and the grapes only egg everyone on.
