Jolly Holiday Bath Formula
Adapted from Aromatherapy for Healing the Spirit, by Gabriel Mojay (Inner Traditions, 1997).
Make your spirits bright with this lusciously-scented holiday bath: it will help you unwind, revive, and be of good cheer.
Even if holiday stress sometimes gets you down, aromatherapy essential oils can help you feel calm and bright. Soon you’ll be laughing all the way!
Here’s the easy formula:
4 drops essential oil of pine (Pinus sylvestris)
4 drops essential oil of sweet orange (Citrus sinensis)
3 drops essential oil of ginger
Add oils to your bath and soak for 10 minutes.
The fresh and pungent aroma of pine is warming and fortifying to the physical body, counteracting pessimism, fatigue, and nervous debility. (This could help to explain why so many of us crave the smell of fresh Christmas trees at holiday time.)
Sweet Orange helps to remove stagnant Qi, easing frustration and tension. Its warm, sunny aroma conveys joy, optimism, and positivity.
Ginger is stimulating and warming, boosting vitality, confidence, and morale.
A note from Annie and Cait: Many of us are sensitive to artificial fragrances. We encourage you to use only pure essential oils. Pregnant women, and those with serious health problems, should always consult a physician before using essential oils. And please be aware that some people are allergic to essential oils. Always use them with caution and respect.

Somebody wanred about possible allergy to orange.
I can vouch it's true: you see, essential oil of Orange, extracted from the peel, is very abrasive (which is why it can be used to remove grease and/or grime from all kinds of surfaces). I am not saying you're going to need the services of an ER, but you can emerge from your bath with red welts on your thighs...

Caution! A lot of people are allergeic to orange in general. Specially applied to their skin. The best advise is before you use any type of citrus items, is to test an area on your skin before using more citrus.
It's better then a hospital trip!
