Calling all pets in seasonal poses, holiday costumes, and festive photos!

Cats in Santa hats, dogs with bows – even ducks, hamsters and hairless rats in holiday poses! We’ve received loads of seasonal photos from our Care2 members, but we can still use more!

We will be featuring photos of your cute pets this December – 12 days of photos, followed by a grand finale pet slideshow!

How it works:

Send us your seasonal pet photos and bios through Dec. 20 and then come to each day to get your daily dose of holiday cuteness and cheer, starting on Dec. 21.

Some ideas: Your pet playing in snow; your pet wearing a bow; your pet and your Xmas tree, Menorah, Xmas stockings, fuzzy reindeer antlers; your pet playing with wrapping paper…pets of all kinds are welcome!

Our editors will select and post photos and stories every day between Dec. 21 through Jan. 2. Check the Healthy & Green Living page each day to see if your pet is one of the Featured Holiday Pets of the day!

For the bio, please include: Your pet’s name, age (approximate age is o.k. too), and the city you and your pet live in. You could also include details about any of your pet’s quirky habits, special talents, favorite treats, or pet siblings.

Email your pet photos and bios to
Please include your pet’s name in the subject line.

Happy Holidays and Happy Photographing!

Pets are nice and cute in their "own skin".
I don't agree to change them into some ridiculous puppets for amusement does not know who

The pets have their natural skins. I do not like seeing pets dressed for Christmas, or other festive Seasons. But I agree that they can use a cover to protect them from rain, or from the snow.
