Love Awareness

Love Awareness

When you have no relationship to another person, you are automatically thrown back upon yourself. The feelings that come out have no basis in what you need or want from others–they simply come out.

When the mind goes beyond normal waking awareness, the transcending process brings one in contact with unconditional love in its silent, unmanifest state. “Unmanifest” means that this love is not directed at anything; it simply vibrates within the nature of the silent witness, like a radio signal silently waiting for a radio to pick it up.

At the end of meditation, the person returns to the waking state bringing some of this transcendental quality into his everyday consciousness. A new vibration has been added that alters, however subtly, the person’s former awareness.

By definition, you can love someone only if your love does not alter no matter what the other person does. A person who feels love “no matter what” is simply following his nature. In truth, this is all that can be asked of anyone. Acting according to your own level of awareness is inescapable.

All of us are radiating our awareness out into the world and bringing its reflection back to us. The curative value of this kind of awareness is enormous.

Adapted from Unconditional Life: Discovering the Power to Fulfill Your Dreams, by Deepak Chopra (A Bantam Book, 1991).

Reading all your messages about love, none of you is even mentioning the very Author of unselfish love - Jesus Christ. That tells me none of you - least of all Deepak Chopra - knows what you´re talking about, much less lives it !!!

THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!! I read this which was the answer my question literally SECONDS after putting it out there in the Universe (see ur forum, new topic - Being In Love). I LOVE the Creation and Manifestation of the Universe, it's so Perfect!! Thank YOU!!! =)

...love the self....it will set you free...

Yes, that is really a lovely!

"Loving for the sake of self" for me means to love as the act of setting myself free from any conflict that be. Therefore to owe no one anything but to love them. This is not limited to although it is inclusive of an intimate relationship. In essence, it is not limited to emotions, either. Instead, it is drenced with behavior that is expressed as opposed to being defined because true love is never limited by definition, it is always in motion.

Love it! These thoughts are truly connected to a source of wisdom! I agree that pure and unconditional love existing in a dormant realm can be tapped from the meditative state, and then is able to manifest as thought and then lives through acts of a physical nature. It is absolutely certain that it's best to manifest that resource...bring it to the surface and allow it to be heard, felt and seen. The essence of light...which IS love will emmanate outward once what is held in is brought out and freely given.

Everyone hungers for love like the lungs labor for air. The lack of real and true love is what drives us to perverse addictions. True love maintains, no matter what has been said or done. It's not always easy to do unless you honor all spirit as a whole spirit. I think that love exists in the very air that we breathe. It is the Breath of God. Nothing can be maintained without it.

But, I say...it is essentially incorrect to love, knowing that the love is easily reflected and will come back to self.
The true test of love, is to unflinchingly love the one who feels negative toward you.

Do you really think that it is right to love for the sake of self?

It may be a human condition but is hardly one foe which to strive. When you have learned to love for the sake of the beloved, then you have truly achieved a higher level of understanding. Although it is true that self benefits from whatever it gives of the heart...but gives, not because of that benefit to self.

So true. We get out of life what we put in.

i would much rather have my love manifest than unmanifest

Speaking of personal power: "It is not for the sake of the beloved that I feel love, but for the sake of the self" This says a whole lot. Oh, wow. It puts me on a trip.

Adriana Ochoa

As the UPANISHADS say:
"It is not for the sake of the beloved that I feel love, but for the sake of the self".

As always, thank you Deepak
