Change your thinking, change your life. This week’s enlightening discussion is with Barbara Fredrickson, a Psychology Professor and lead investigator at the Positive Emotions and Psychophysiology Laboratory (a.k.a. PEP Lab) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. We discuss her research and book, Positivity, and provide the basic tools anyone can use to make their life and relationships flourish.
Her book was the launching pad for my positivity quest and this conversation about how changing your mind changes your life you lead might just inspire you to your own positivity quest. Her work is life changing.
Barbara reveals how positive emotions, can and do tip the scales toward a life of flourishing. Barb describes, through both story and strong scientific data, how positive emotions evolved for our human ancestors and how, today, they vitally shape people’s health and well-being. This month she had the honor of presenting her research to His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Her work provides the fundamental tools for creating the skills to make any life a more positive experience.

Thank you :)
It depends on one's circumstances, there are some situation where smile, be happy simply does not work and sugar coating things with looking on the positives if one has just gotten mugged, beaten or whatever is not going to work. There are times when anger over an unjust situation leads to action in changing something that does not work. Some will say that is using positive energy to effect change. Perhaps.
There are many times when looking at a situation from positive angle does help, it really depends on each situation and how things are going.
Thanks for the article.
