Lustrous Hair Conditioner Formula

Here is a formula to renew vitality, sheen, bounce, and manageability to hair. If your hair sustained damage from chlorinated water, sea salt, and sun over the summer (or if you’d just like to have softer, livelier, silkier hair), this formula can help.

Here’s how to make it:

INGREDIENTS
2 ounces aloe vera gel
1/2 teaspoon oil (avocado, jojoba, or even olive oil will work)
2 ounces organic apple cider vinegar
1 ounce powdered milk

1. Combine ingredients in a bowl and apply to clean, wet hair. Allow formula to remain on hair for 10 to 15 minutes, then rinse well with warm water.

Makes enough for 1 treatment.

It sounds lovely - but what purpose does the powdered milk serve?

I like the ideal of the hair conditioner, is there something I can use in place of the aloe vera, as I am allergic to it.

Meredith H.

I think you should mix this up one treatment at a time. It won't stay good with milk and vinegar mixed together. I don't think it matters what kind of milk because it's the lactic acid that probably helps. Just my thoughts.

What type of powdered milk? Skim? Whole? Instant or non instant?
