Should Michael Vick, a man who victimized and killed pit bulls as part of an illegal dog fighting operation, be allowed to one day own another animal?
While the NFL quarterback is currently not granted such a privilege under a court-ordered rule, he does hope one day that the order is lifted. In an interview with the website TheGrio, Vick says that befriending a dog could help show the world that he has changed.
“I would love to get another dog in the future,” he says. “I think it would be a big step for me in the rehabilitation process. I think just to have a pet in my household and to show people that I genuinely care, and my love, and my passion for animals.”
Since his release from prison, Vick has been working with the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), touring schools, and speaking out against dog fighting. It’s a role he says he’s committed to performing for the rest of his life.

This is a man who has proven that he cannot be trusted with animals... he should never be allowed to own any kind of pet, especially a dog. In my eyes, and many others ~ he will never be forgiven for what he has done. People who LOVE animals do not get involved in the kinds of things he's been accused of/convicted of and they do everything in their power to PREVENT such activities from ever happening. NO MERCY for Vick ~ he blew any chance of ever being trusted with an animal, in my opinion.

He should never be aloud to have any kind of animals especially dogs.
A leopard never changes it's spots, after Vick's disgusting and disgraceful behavior his punishment should be that he's never allowed the privilege of owning a dog and experiencing the love and joy they can bring. Not only will this remind him that animal cruelty especially on a massive scale is taken seriously but it will remind anyone else whos even contemplating it that they will NEVER be allowed to experience the love a pet can and does bring.
Just because he's doing the right thing now doesn't mean that he should be rewarded with life long love from the very animal he tormented and killed.
HELL NO!!!!! NO WAY IN HELL!!!!
