Mysteries of the Energetic Heart

That first moment of recognition, when we know that fondness has turned to love, is an occasion for celebration! We have found someone who can make us laugh, bring us a joyful tear, sustain us through life’s trials and accept us for who we are. This recognition of love brings a deep contentment and knowingness that something precious has been stored deep within our heart.

Some of us have had this experience more than once in our lives, while many are hoping it will come and wonder when or how to find it. In my experience, we don’t have to wait for that magic to happen; we can learn to cultivate it in our current relationships, and as we do, we draw more fulfilling love to us.

It starts with considering the qualities we value most in friendship. Perhaps you feel a special friendship or love flourishes because you and the other are always willing to accept each other as he or she is. Or maybe it’s the person’s kindness, compassion or forgiveness toward you and others. Or do you attribute a lasting relationship to honest, open and respectful communication? All of these qualities contribute to the foundation of true love and friendship. They are qualities of the heart.

There are myriad magazine articles and books that offer advice for cultivating true love. What if we add a little science to the mix, research that could perhaps help us cultivate the love we want to experience?

Up until a few decades ago, many European (predominantly Catholic) households had a picture of Jesus' Sacred Heart.
You hardly find them anymore, these days.
Most would consider them to be "kitsch".

Oh sure, the artistic value may not be great (unlike the artistic value of the a-dime-a-dozen trinkets from holiday destinations that that people hoard...).

But those pictures depict, quite explicitly, one of the greatest mysteries of this life, the one that all New-Agers are fervently pursuing and advocating now.

The problem is, people who are not able to recognize a truth in a kitschy picture - which is actually just a stand-in for the deception of appearances in general - most won't recognize it anywhere else.

Love always does a body good....food for the soul......! Who's that famous french writer who said "...for it is only with the heart that we see rightly"? Ahhhhhh we must look deeply into the heart of things, for there is treasure within our hearts....I said that!

My greatest joy after sex. Listening to my partners heart, and seeing if mine sync's up. Its a beautiful sound, we often jockey to see who gets to listen to the others heart first...:)

A couple of things particularly stood out to me. "The mothers brain waves can synchronize her babies heart beat." And " a fetal heart starts to beat before the brain is developed." Wow.
There are lots of references to the Heart in the Bible. The Heart is the seat of the emotions for one. Guard your heart for out of it stream the issues of life. Or words to that affect.
When someone isn't happy with someones actions or words etc we tend to say, "Have a Heart."
