This Christmas thousands of our troops are coming home. It seems only right that President Obama proclaimed November Military Family Month.
In honor of the occasion, I wrote this new Christmas song and made this Christmas music video for them, for the soldiers coming home, for all they do for our country and for the sacrifices both they and their families have made.
According to an article in the Archives of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine, July 4, 2011, nearly 44 percent of active duty members of the military have a total of almost 1.2 million children. About three quarters of the kids are 11 years of age or younger and 42 percent of the kids are 5 years or younger.
In a later blog I’ll talk about the many ways that war and separation contribute to stress. For now, enjoy this original Christmas song called “Daddy’s Coming Home for Christmas” about a soldier coming home. Please share it with your friends and family. Merry Christmas and happy, healthy holidays.

Daddies ARE to be at home PERMANENTLY, not to leave their homes as mercenaries in interest of wargreedy politicians!!!

Thanks for the article.
So tough on the kids whose daddies are never coming home!
Soo amazing
Wonderful song. My prayers go out to all of our sons and daughters in the military. It is a great thing Mr. Obama did, proclaiming November to be Military Family Month. He finally did something I feel I can be proud of!
