Online Seminar: The Evolutionary Worldview

We love to tell Care2 members about worthy events going on in different places. But with a world-wide audience, it’s hard to find events that everyone can attend, and that still have the engaging energy that’s present at in-person conferences. An up-coming event called “The Evolutionary Worldview,” is an accessible and engaging online seminar with experts and panelists speaking about the creative power found in an evolutionary perspective.

EnlightenNext, a magazine that explores spirituality, politics, gender, ecology, sexuality, and science, is sponsoring the seminar this Saturday, May 15th, 2010. Speakers will include Ken Wilber, Deepak Chopra, Marilyn Schlitz, Brian Swimme, and EnlightenNext magazine’s editors Andrew Cohen, Carter Phipps, Elizabeth Debold and Ross Robertson.

Anyone can attend the seminar, no matter where they live, it’s completely free, and listeners have the option to participate in the event with other people in small meet-ups around the world. Live “Evolutionary Meetups” will take place in over 40 cities internationally, from Toronto and Amsterdam to San Francisco and London.

Even if you can’t make it on May 15th, by registering you’ll get free access to a full set of MP3 recordings from the day.

Well I spent almost half Sunday trying to view these videos on this seminar which I was not able to, so Monday I will have to take my mother´s computer to the repair shop and see if they can help me to view these videos. I live in Santarém, Portugal and two days ago I and my mother went to see an excellent double documentary video cassette on the Fascist invasion of Ethiopia and the Spanish Civil War at the Marquesa de Cadaval Library of the township of Almeirim, but although the television was the same as there had been a few years ago when I came there to see it with my blind father who was only able to listen to it, the attendant claimed there was no longer any video-cassette-player facility available. I wonder if he was not simply a Fascist and sabotaged.

I have an enormous backlog in my e-mail and was held up over half Sunday trying to view the videos on the seminar, whjich just did not open up. This means tommorrow I will have to take my mother´s computer to the repair shop and ask if they can help me to view them, two days ago I and my mother went all the way to a nearby township to watch an excellent double film of the Fascist invasion of Ethiopia and the Spanish Civil War, but although the television at the library was the same the attendant claimed there was no longer any video cassette viewing equipment available and I just wonder whether he was a Fascist

Yes, indeed!
It is not always clear to me whether I should leave a comment about for instance things happening in your congress!
I try and restrict myself to comments that are not completely non-sensical!

I saw a recent music video where thousands of voices joined in an enormous chorus was also sponsored on-line. The harmony and the ability to reach so many people was astounding. Good luck.
