33 Other Ways to Use Single-Use Kitchen Appliances

It happens to the best of us. Inspired by a love of fondue, lured by the convenience of rice cookers, we spend our hard-earned cash on an appliance. Never again will we eat pasta from a box!

And then… reality sets in. Despite our best intentions, we don’t make homemade waffles every weekend or prepare our packed lunches with our freshly-baked bread. The appliances gather dust in the back of the cabinet. It doesn’t have to be that way, though. Several single-use appliances aren’t as impractical as they may seem. Click through to check out some other ways to use these oft-neglected appliances. Maybe that fondue pot will make its way onto the counter more than once a year!

Best Juicer To Buy Guide

some of those are great ideas, but i try to avoid such luxurious 1 use products! saying that, i do have a pressure cooker which doubles up as the most biggest heavy bottomed saucepan i have to make jam in! and i have a juicer which has a smoothie maker with it and i use that for soups. i also have a george foreman and use that for anything that could be grilled, from freezer stuff to bagels! you can never have to many knives or chopping implements though!

we rec'd a waffle iron as a wedding gift. it turned out to be too messy to use often. i guess we can try to make paninis. the bread machine and rice cookers should come with recipe booklets that let you know of other things you can make. i can't comment on the other items.

When we replaced our rice cooker we got one with a basket for steaming and a special setting for risotto! I love it!
