Most of my beauty formulas share something in common: They’re delicious to eat. Maybe it’s just that I can’t escape the pleasure of rubbing food on my skin, but I think it’s more about the inherently beautiful integrity of using plants for beauty ingredients.

Which brings me to peaches. Such beauty! Peaches are moisturizing and toning for all skin types, and their fruity summer perfume is far more transporting than any synthetic fragrance could ever be. For this simple sugar scrub, I combine fresh peach with sugar and olive oil. I think that you’ll love how soft and luminous it will make your skin, that is if you don’t eat it all first.

INGREDIENTS
1 large very ripe peach, unpeeled, sliced and mashed
1/3 cup organic brown sugar
1/3 cup white granulated sugar
1/3 cup olive oil

Mix ingredients in a bowl and mash together until well combined. In the shower, wet skin and then turn off the water. Gently massage generous scoops of scrub all over your body. (Careful not to slip from olive oil.) Rinse off, glow.

Makes 2 applications, to be used within one week. (Store second application in the refrigerator.)
