Pets Don’t Need Treadmills to Stay in Shape (3 cute videos)
Many of us get our much needed exercise by walking or running on a treadmill. But remember, our little animal friends need exercise too and they donít have the luxury of a treadmill. No matter.
Here are three unique alternatives: a slide below, a hamster flying saucer on page 2, and a giant doggie hamster ring on page 3.
Up the Down Slide
Itís all a matter of left brain thinking. Or is it right brain, I forget?

Hamsters on a Flying Saucer
These two hamsters, Mojo and Jojo, get plenty of exercise on their flying saucer.
Sometimes they cooperate to make it go round faster; sometimes they go in opposite directions or even fall off. In any case, they seem to be having lots of fun.
A research study showed that hamsters with exercise wheels run five miles a night. Insatiable little guys.

Dogs on a Hamster Wheel
Well, not a hamster wheel exactly. The same thing only much, much bigger.
We all know that our dogs need lots of exercise and we donít always feel like going outside to walk them or run them.
David Pier developed a clever answer. Itís a gigantic wheel called a “HoundRound” that delivers peanut butter or kibble but only when the dog makes it go round.
Talk about bribery. Watch how Flash and his doggie friends deal with it.
