Pops of Primary Color: Red Accents

Pops of Primary Color: Red Accents

From candy apple to brick, and every shade in between, a touch of red adds an unparalleled touch to interior design. Here are a few ways, large and small, to incorporate flashes of crimson into your home.

Above: From stylist Lili Diallo: a unique incorporation of bright color via painted stair treads.

Above: Red dining chairs add even more character to the garden of this Brooklyn home, as seen in the New York Times.

It's good not to follow that trend of "neutral colors" that are supposed to appeal to most but in fact make a flat look terribly dull!

I have always been a little wary of the colour red.Too much it is a but glaring, too loittle and it is not really noticed.

I love red, I have touches of it in nearly every room, not too much but enough to see it, I think it goes well with most other colours too. My garden is a bit boring with just grass and hedging at the moment but outside on my windowsill, keeping out the flies is my geranium, it looks lovely against the green backdrop. Thanks for sharing.

My house looks nothing like this but I do already incorporate the red. Everything in my kitchen was black and white but I added red pieces here and there... I like the pictures, thanks!!
