More and more Americans are looking for ways to be greener as they move about, often by buying cars that use less gas. But the no-gas solution is also growing and that means bicycles.
Where is a great place to live if you’re an avid cyclist? The answer is Portland, Oregon, dubbed America’s most bike friendly city. Portland has not only done more than any other city to welcome bikes and bikers, it is also a center for small-scale bike manufacturing.
The city has invested $20 to 25 million to increase the bike infrastructure and now has more people commuting by bike than any other city. What a great place to live.

Good for Portland! Too bad most large and mid-sized cities aren't bicycle friendly (or pedestrian friendly for that matter.) Thanks.
I wish Columbus was as bike friendly. But they are working on it!
Thanks for the article.
I've always wanted to visit Portland
Portland ME and Portland OR neck and neck. Need more cities to compete!
That's great. I love biking but here in Greece you don't know if you going to return alive at home. The paradise for bikers is Munich, Berlin and the whole country.
