Question Your Thinking, Change the World

“We are love, and there’s nothing we can do about that. Love is our nature. It’s what we are without our stories.” – Byron Katie

Byron Katie has written bestselling books including Loving What Is, I Need Your Love—Is That True?, and A Thousand Names for Joy. She teaches a process of self-inquiry, called The Work, which helps people question and overcome their stressful beliefs. She will be speaking at the November 2010 Celebrate Your Life Conference in Phoenix, Arizona along with Dr. Wayne Dyer, Dr. Doreen Virtue, Neale Donald Walsch and many more illuminating presenters. In anticipation of the event, we are sharing a few memorable quotes from Byron.

“Peace doesn’t require two people; it requires only one.  It has to be you.  The problem begins and ends there.”

———

“The miracle of love comes to you in the presence of the uninterpreted moment. If you are mentally somewhere else, you miss real life.”

———

“A dishonest yes is a no to yourself.”

“Placing the blame or judgment on someone else leaves you powerless to change your experience; taking responsibility for your beliefs and judgments gives you the power to change them”

———

“A mind that doesn’t question its judgments, makes the world very small and dangerous.”

———

“Nothing comes ahead of its time, and nothing ever happened that didn’t need to happen.”

———

“Anything you want to ask a teacher, ask yourself, and wait for the answer in silence.”

"Even a well lit candle burns out".
Just because it's true doesn't mean it's appropriate.
Am I being negative or am I being realistic?

Edward Willis, I know what your saying, it's accepting what we can't change and make good from it to better ourself. And Love your enemy's as you would love thyself. I pray for everyone before myself, enemy's too and world peace. We are all created equal.

I always question my thoughts instead of relying on one thought. Sort of like a what if, or could be thought. But if your not sure of your own thoughts, seek an answer by reaching out to someone like a friend. family member for advice. Thats why I don't believe everything I think and look for answers and learn from them. Sort of like meditation to set your mind at ease. I've always been a person if plan "A" don't work, go to plan "B" and so on or have someone you can share your thoughts with and exchange ideas.
