I remember seeing this when it was 1st posted & I cried again. Almost 30 yr ago, out of curiosity I had detoured on the way home from working nights to check out a new barn structure on the side of a new hiway. Turned out to be the large animal center of the Humane Society. Regular visitor/unofficial help for a long while after that. They offered me a paid job in investigating animal cruelty cases. Had to turn it down because I did not want to go to jail for shooting someone. A yr or so later, we picked up a 3/4 chow with the 1 remaining pup from her last litter. We took her in to be neutered and found this same situation with pellets embedded up and down her back and head. The vet called me wanting to know how it happened. Had to explain she was a rescue & we had no idea. We didn't know when she was taken in that she had retained almost a gallon of fluid from birthing that litter. She was a very lucky dog as the vet told us she would have died shortly after if we had not brought her in when we did. Do not know how old she was when we got her, but we were blessed with her for almost 10 yr.

Hope the bastard who did that burns in hell, Wish I have a secret power to kill all the people who hurts animals.......!!!!!!! That cute dog seems so noble and beautiful, I love his hair.
