Have a no-bath week, and take showers instead. Baths require almost twice as much water. Not only will you reduce water consumption, but the energy costs associated with heating the water will go down. Get more natural bath and shower tips.

A bath is relaxing, wonderful for aching muscles and helps clear the sinuses-rarely take them but there are so few pleasures left anymore that I will not begrudge them to those who enjoy taking them especially with arthritic soreness.
It would be nice that people could do something without feeling guilty about it.
It appears that the bulk of the populace is in a hurry and take showers anyway!
Practical advice, for sure. But in my mind a de-tox, de-stress bath on occasion is just wonderful.
Thank-you for the post. I don't remember when I last took a bath. I used to take them in the 1980's after work. I'm a RN & worked 3:00 - 11:30 PM at that time. My drive to the hospital was 1.5 miles round trip. Definitely no winding down time there. On those evenings when we were to busy I needed to wind down as there was no way I'd fall asleep when i'm still in the running mode. Those were the nights when I was in need of a bath & had a pampering ritual that worked like a charm every time. Then I moved & had a longer drive to/from work so that helped. Unfortunately my new abode has the most uncomfortable bathtub. Thus, only showers for me at this point.
I also agree with Dale O's comment. There are times I think a bath would be a good idea. Unfortunately us baby-boomers are not getting any younger & I would have not pleasant issues with getting in & out of the tub.
Thank you.
thanks :)
