Seagull Makes Movie (Video)

A seagull grabbed a man’s video camera while it was recording and flew away according to a YouTube uploader. It was said to be a GoPro camera, which is a small wearable device used for recording HD video. Surfers, snowboarders, skiers and mountain bikers have used these small HD cameras for capturing themselves in action. It isn’t entirely clear if the video is all real, or has some fake elements and was created by the camera company, who has made impressive videos for viral marketing previously.

The video itself doesn’t look fake, but it might have been intended that the gull pick up a camera while recording, to see if a a happy accident would result. What the gull recorded at night is downright cinematic, and apparently was done in Cannes, France. Perhaps the gull’s work should open next year’s Cannes Film Festival.

Actually not the first bird to have nicked a camera and shot a film! In Britain recently we were treated to a fantastic TV series on penguins, shot by remote cameras in dummy penguins. The film-makers hid one camera in an egg that was snatched by a bird of prey, who managed to take some good video photos of the penguin colony from above!

Re gull flying by night - some birds change their habits because of street lighting. I didn't know that gulls were among them.

Doesn't say whether the ginger was fresh or dried. One gram of fresh ginger isn't much.

To me this like taking your car to a mechanic's helper instead of to a real mechanic. No for me.

I strongly agree with reducing our battery imprint. Reducing energy use is always a good thing. …

Didn't know much about rechargables. Still don't!

Interesting findings, thanks for sharing.
