Europe’s highest active volcano, Italy’s Mount Etna, erupted again this week. The eruption, which spewed blood-red molten lava and grey and white ash into the air, is the 24th in a series that started in January 2011. Photo Credit: gnuckx via Flickr.

apparently etna is in an almost constant state of activity, and is known for its wide variety of eruption styles.

What a beautiful sight - destoying, yet peaceful and straightforward to its action. Not heeded by anyone - She's just functioning, living... ah the Earth is so beautiful!! I 've never loved her so much as I do the last several years!
