Spiced Mulled Cider (Recipe)

 

Just as perfect at a holiday party as it is on a dreary winter afternoon, this mulled cider could not be easier to make. Add a little dark rum to taste if you like. Though this method uses the power of the stovetop, using an electric slow cooker áis a great way to make it, too. That way, the cider will be warm all evening.

Mulled Cider.

Ingredients:

  • 2 Quarts of good-quality apple cider
  • Peel of one orange
  • Peel of one lemon
  • 2 Cinnamon sticks
  • 2 Whole star anise (optional)
  • 1 Teaspoon whole allspice berries
  • 1 Teaspoon whole cloves

Instructions:
1. Bring all ingredients to a boil in a large saucepan. Remove from heat and cover. Let cider steep for 30 minutes-4 hours before serving.
