Summer Tress Rescue

So you may not have back-to-school outfits laid out on your bed, but something about the passing of Labor Day makes many of us a tad giddy about fall. Although, yes, it’s still 85F degrees out, those chunky sweaters are starting to look mighty inviting. And to go with those yummy fall clothes–a head full of sun-bleached, beach-stiff, pool-blanched hair? Maybe not.

With a few easy formulas for different hair types, you can repair your summer hair and wind up with a shimmery mane that will be the perfect compliment to a yummy fall sweater or two. Here are three of our most popular hair conditioners to help say goodbye to summer (hair) and hello to fall.

Rich Conditioner for Dry or Damaged Hair uses three kitchen cupboard ingredients plus aloe vera gel to help repair and nourish your tresses.

Learn herbalist Susun Weed’s Mermaid Secret for Gorgeous Hair that will help anyone toward radiant health, greater energy and longevity–and fabulous hair!

This is one of our most popular hair care articles on Care2, and it’s no wonder: How to Repair Your Hair with Olive Oil is one of the most luscious and easiest ways to rescue sad summer hair.

I certainly can understand your point of view, CD Wolvington, but why would you read an article about conditioning hair if the subject holds no appeal to you? Using everyday household items for grooming (whether men or women - and, yes, men use conditioner too!) saves people money and time and, of course, it's better for the environment.

sorry, but i guess i've found a thousand other things more important than making sure my hair looks great. when the day comes that men are held to the same standards of beauty as women, then MAYBE this would be meaningful. my money needs to go somewhere that really makes a difference. fine for others, just not for me! take care.
