Sweet Honey of a Bath Formula

Herbalists have praised honey as a beauty aid for centuries with very good reason. It is a terrific humectant–meaning it helps our skin to retain moisture, making it softer and smoother, and rejuvenating our appearance.

When we invite the golden sweetness of honey into our tub, it becomes a skin-nourishing treat for body and soul. Let the bees show you the way to smoother, fresher-looking skin:

INGREDIENTS

2 tablespoons honey
1 cup hot water
2 drops lavender essential oil (optional)

1. Dissolve the honey in the hot water, then add essential oil and stir to mix.

2. Pour mixture into bathwater and soak for 10 to 15 minutes.

Delightful and relaxing. Yes, some will object to using honey in the bath water but if one uses honey normally then simply sacrifice the amount that you would normally use in a day for your tea or baking and give it to the bath instead. Organic honey which is locally produced is humane, although to many vegans using honey is against their beliefs. However, much of the world...most of it...is not driven by a vegan agenda. Mainstream honey is, however, often produced in China, or industrial honey is also unkind to honey bees. Safe honey is local and organic.

I would rather thank the bees by having my honey treat on the inside. I am always so greatful for honey that the bees give us, the eggs that the chickens lay us and the dairy that the dairy cattle give us. They are such cleaver creatures that give without thanks and if we should appreciate every drop or morsel of their gifts.
