Daily Cute: Teeny Cockatiel Serenades Atop a Piano

This cutie doesn’t need a song and dance to impress, his friendly face is enough! But since he’s an overachiever, we get a musical performance, too.

Renata, cockatiels don't come from the Amazon. They are Australian, and have been domesticated for generations. This mutant (whitefaced) bird would not play any part in restocking a wild population - if they are endangered? (not sure about that off the top of my head.)

Jo P, the bird apparently believes that humans are his flock. I know of no evidence that imprinted birds are unhappy, if they can spend enough time with whoever they are imprinted on.

Natasha, he's been domesticated for generations and is a mutation not found in the wild, which means he would be picked out by predators. What evidence is there that he is unhappy?

Cool! The bird seems to prefer the one with the video camera to the pianist! :-)
