The Consciousness Conversations

The Consciousness Conversations

Humanity stands at the threshold of a new era: the era of consciousness. After conquering the external world, human beings will discover their inner selves.

These are the words of The Intelligent Optimist’s founder and editor, Jurriaan Kamp, and the premise and promise behind the next course series which is presented by Care2 and The Intelligent Optimist: The Consciousness Conversations

This online course will be a Visionary Dialogue with Marilyn Schlitz, Claire Zammit, Craig Hamilton, Ervin Laszlo, Pim van Lommel, Lynne McTaggart, John Hagelin and Fred Travis.

The course was designed to delve deeper into the ideas in “The Revenge of the Spirit,” excerpted in Care2.com.

Here are a few of those ideas:
• Is a new era of consciousness really on its way? How do we know?
• What will it look like? What effect will it have?
• How can we be active participants in its emergence?

The six-session course, which starts on March 12, will feature Marilyn Schlitz of the Institute of Noetic Sciences addressing a session on how to transform our worldview; Integral Enlightenment founder Craig Hamilton on riding the evolutionary wave; Calling in the One founder Claire Zammit on becoming conscious women; Intersystems theory founder Ervin Laszlo on how to move our world further toward oneness; former cardiologist and researcher Pim van Lommel on what near-death experiences have to tell us about life; author Lynne McTaggart on how to weave a new tale from science and spirituality; and John Hagelin and Fred Travis, two of the world’s leading authorities on Transcendental Meditation, on the science of consciousness.

A little bit more consciousness from more people on a daily basis could change the world for the better in my opinion, too many people just do and never THINK (let alone feel...)!!!

Once you use the word "CONQUER" you're on the wrong track. Much of human misery and suffering over the ages have come from "conquests" This is not an indication of the evolving consciousness!!! There are many paths to divine consciousnesses. The Christ consciousnesses enabled Jesus to transcend the human experience, yet he cried out in his pain to his beloved father"why has thou forsaken me?" The human species is pathetic, primitive and not worthy of such a beautiful planet on which to have their mortal journeys. The creator made a bad deal with Lucifer or Beelzebub and Raziel tricked the angel Gabriel before they were expelled from the heavens. I am not a religious person but on my corporeal exploration continually amazed how sad and unnecessary humanity has fallen. Our egocentric core with the human dualistic mind have compelled us to practice an dark and self defeating way of living. We need to change our spiritual essence if we are to survive.

Sounds like an interesting course--- I've heard of the Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS) and whatever I've read from them, I liked. It's valuable and important to look deeply inside ourselves and understand, explore, and cultivate the potential we have within us. I won't be able to take the course, but, like Sue H, I would love to hear feedback about the course once it's done. I am passing this on to my neighbor, I know she will be interested. Thanks for the post and the offer.

Well Ron b. I agree with you. Most of the consciousness people seem more concerned about their insides then other people.

I see them following all sorts of paths and yet they still have the problems and feel the effects of this real world. I have a lot of disagreements with atheists. But at least we agree that this world is real and that we are here. Not that our inner self is some where else. When I want to know what a true good human is. I read my Bible about JESUS.

I've often contemplated this "new era of consciousness"

I would like to believe that there are more evolved human beings than there were, say, 100 years ago. But I believe there are only ever a certain percentage of people who have become more evolved over their lives.

If you have travelled extensively or moved around the world, it always seems to be a minority of people who make all the difference. Fortunately, we are drawn towards each other.

We can't have conquered the outer world, because it is created from our inner world. That's why if you want to make the world a better place you have to stop dragging stuff up from memories, especially bad ones, and imagine new ways of doing things even if we don't yet know how to bring it about. The 'how to' stuff comes when you see what needs to be done and decide to fallow those impulses.

no worries

pennies from heaven are showered on you today
live life with appreciation

allow all things to unfold
lovingly

it's free

and should an inclination direct a person to join a class, then, they too are following a path of pennies that have fallen so that they may invest in such

none are excluded!

love succeeds
