This video, from California-based non-profit Dog Bless You, highlights the story of Abby the search dog and her handler Debra (who is now Executive Director of the Search Dog Foundation). On September 11, 2001, both of them were deployed to the World Trade Center, where they helped locate and rescue trapped humans. These days, Abby is retired and getting a little grey around the muzzle, but she still lives with her devoted handler.
